This intensive one-day seminar is designed to prepare you to become a knowledgeable Notary Public. You will learn the proce-dures for proper notarization, information on how to start your Notary career, understanding the law and how it affects the way you notarize, how to perform 5 different notarial acts, 5 must-follow rules for every notarization, the 4 essential ID features, 7 entries in your journal that are required by law for every notarization, when to refuse to notarize, how to pass the test, which must be taken every 4 years, safekeeping of the Notary journal and seal and notarizing out-of-state documents. Registration starts at 8:30 am. For participants wishing to take the State Exam, please bring a check made payable to the Secretary of State for $40.00, a proper photo ID and a 2X2 passport photo. A material fee of $45.00 is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class. All participants must register no later than 30 days prior to the course start date.
