Under general supervision, your Cadets perform a wide variety of tasks such as:

• Filing of Reports
• Assisting the Public
• Assisting in School Safety Programs
• Assisting in Crime Prevention Programs
• Assisting in Community Relations Programs

Your Cadets make a valuable contribution to our ability to maintain a safe environment in the City of Upland and provide public safety services to you, our residents.

In order to become a cadet you must apply to the Human Resources department for the City of Upland.  You will be required to have met these and other requirements established by the HR department.

• Educational achievement equivalent to completion of high school
• Enrollment in college, specifically in criminal justice courses is highly desirable
• Must possess a valid California Driver's license
• Must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years
• Must be able to pass an intensive background check
