Black history month is a time of rejoicing, celebrating, and recognizing significant black history figures who have been memorialized in United Stated history for giving hope for generations to come.  An Exhibit Walkthrough has been created to raise awareness of the historical impact of the achievements and accomplishments made by African Americans.

Valentine’s Day Grams are handcrafted with lots of love by YOU!  Enjoy a movie at our newly remodeled lobby while you create a uniquely beautiful gram. Grab n’ Go kits are also available for you to enjoy at home.  Supplies are included in your grams will be available beginning Monday, February 10 at the Gibson Senior Center. Ticket sales begin Monday, January 6.  Quantities limited.

Tonight, we will celebrate and recognize the culinary, artistic, and musical achievements of our African American community.  Admission fee includes meal, entertainment, and door prize drawings.  Menu: Fried Chicken, Green, Macaroni & Cheese, Corn Bread, TLC Salad, and Sweet Potato Pie. Includes coffee, iced tea, and lemonade.  Pre-registration required.  Tickets on sale Monday, January 13.

According to the Chinese Zodiac:   The year of the snake represents intelligence and gracefulness.  Red is considered a color of good fortune, participants wearing red will receive an additional raffle ticket.
