Quimby Fee Reports
Quimby fees are authorized by the 1975 Quimby Act for cities and counties to require the dedication of land or the payment of in-lieu fees, or a combination of both, for park or recreational purposes as a condition of a subdivision map approval. Residential development is not charged both the Parks DIF and Quimby In-Lieu Fee. If a development qualifies under the Quimby Act, the Quimby Fee is charged. If a development does not qualify under the Quimby Act, the Parks DIF is charged.
